Drake Carson runs the family ranch and doesn’t take kindly to an outsider telling him how to do his job, which is what Luce Hale seems to be doing when she starts conducting her research of wild horses on his ranch.  But even though Drake and Luce are at odds from the start, they can’t deny the boiling attraction they have for each other for very long.
